This month has been one of the most fun, varied and hectic of the year! Starting with putting together a totally unique Halloween Collection - I absolutely loved everything about this. The studio was turned upside down, scattered with spiders, bats and skeletons but I loved it! We were able to experiment and cross boundaries with these headpieces which was great and I have even started to plan a bigger and better collection for the same time next year! There are just a few remaining pieces available that have now been reduced to clear so be quick!
Photographing the collection was fun and I am so grateful to my little dream team for making it happen! Ellie Burns, my right hand girl, my creative genius, my all round superstar and now my model! Could I ask for a better assistant? Not only is she amazing creatively in the studio, she is so gorgeous it made perfect sense for her to model. And even though she looks perfect with her hair scraped back and not a scrap of makeup on, the brilliant hair and makeup team created the most fabulous look. There isn't much Georgia Canavan can't do in the world of hairdressing and she helped create three fabulous looks including perfect tousled waves, a braided up do and a sleek side part. She is now working mobile full time so check her out on instagram (@hairbygeoc). When it came to the makeup I could only ask the talented Lois Preston to work her magic! We photographed the new Winter Hat collection first and for this she created a flawless look with blown out warm smokey eyes. When It came to the halloween set, Lois added a more dramatic lip colour and a darker eye. Perfect as always, check out her instagram page @loisprestonmakeup. Last remaining pieces are now half price!
So moving on from bats and spiders, it was time to put a new Autumn Winter headpiece collection together. Ive been getting so many emails asking for bespoke pieces for winter weddings and so I knew I had to put together a collection perfect for just that. The timing was perfect as my lovely friend Francesca Couture had asked for some headpiece to compliment her new collection. On Saturday we took over all of our new pieces to St Georges Hall. It was the North West Fashion Festival, a fabulous two day event with pop up shops, catwalk shows, demonstrations and much more! The models looked great and it was fabulous to be a part of.
Back at the event on the Sunday, it was all about the kids and I was over the moon when Melanie Louise Childrenswear asked me to help complete some of their gorgeous outfits with my kids collection. Its the second time I have done this for the shop and I was honoured! Some of the pieces we created were statement pieces made just for the catwalk but our new kids winter hats went down a treat and complimented the outfits perfectly! We now have online felt bowlers, caps and headbands with fur pompoms. They are the cutest and I can see these being popular this winter!
There are new accessories being added online every week now as they seem to be great additions to your own collections or gifts! The choker is so popular now but its nice to be able to create unique designs for you that can't be found on the high street! Its nice to be different isn't it!
So now its half term and I am loving being off with my boys! We have pumpkin picking, a trip to the cinema and swimming planned for this week so it looks like my work will be getting done late into the night when they're in bed!
Keep an eye out for new products and our gift boxes coming in the next few weeks!
Thanks for all the ongoing support, Katie xx
