Finally we can start planning Summer!

Well it feels like its been Winter forever here in our little studio! Although I absolutely loved Christmas and New Year, January seemed to just drag on and on and on! Although I have been busy creating a new Summer Collection, it has felt like the Summer was miles and miles away. That was, until Monday when we got to shoot our new collection! All of a sudden I feel like I've come out of the darkness of January and feel filled with sunshine and enthusiasm for the change in seasons! 

The shoot was such a huge success and I hope you love the images we created. I need to introduce my absolute dream team to you....

Firstly my fabulous model, Pamela Sumner-Furness. I have known Pamela for almost 15 years. We first met when we both worked part time in Karen Millen. She is and always has been absolutely gorgeous inside and out. A perfect face and the best personality to go with it. Pam has modelled for years and is currently with Boss Model Management. So you can't have a photoshoot without an expert for the hair so obviously I called upon my good friend Georgia Canavan. Georgia and I have been friends for years and she is one of those people that just lights up any room she walks into. She has been a fully qualified hairdresser for 12 years. Now based at Siennas Hair and Beauty in West Derby Village she is an expert in colour, olaplex, styling and extensions and can do the best blow drys in Liverpool! She carefully styled the hair to each headpiece with a blow dry, tonging, hair up and more. She's an absolute perfectionist and I couldn't recommend her enough for all your hairdressing needs. So even though Pamela has the most gorgeous face, it wouldn't have been photoshoot ready without the amazing skills of Mia Kearns MUA. I have actually known Mia since she was a just a little girl. I have watched her develop and grow as a makeup artist over the past 5 years and I know she is destined for big things. Always wanting to develop her knowledge and skills, in the past 6 months alone, she has attended masterclasses with two internationally renowned makeup artists including Kim Kardashian's favourite Mario. Mia's attention to detail is remarkable. She created a beautiful natural look with Pamela adding stars and glitter. This is actually the first time I had used a professionally set up studio and it just felt amazing. At one point, I turned around to the girls after looking at a few of the first shots and said "Wow, I actually feel like this is real now". It was quiet a strange feeling, I felt like all of a sudden I realised I had gone from Katie Mangan working off a back kitchen table to designing, creating and professionally shooting a well thought out collection. I genuinely had to pinch myself at that moment, it was hard to take in just how much I have developed in two years!
