Hello October!
Hello October! How did that happen? I blinked and all of a sudden, the summer is over! The mayhem of balancing the school holidays with my busiest time of the year is a distant memory now. No more 2am finishes so that I can finish an order for a customer that I just couldn't turn away. No more entertaining my three year old on the studio’s “spinney chair” whilst I apply Swarovskis one by one to a mother of the bride’s headpiece. No more spinning plates and juggling hats! For the first time in a long time, I am sat down (glass of red by my side) actually planning ahead for Katie Mangan Millinery. New collection, new websites layout, new packaging…. it’s all coming together!
I’ve also had time to reflect on the past year and can say I am so very grateful that I get to wake up every morning and go and do something that I absolutely love. My work is my passion and I appreciate every single day! I love seeing my amazing customers with their outfits brought together by something I have created. It really is a fabulous feeling that I hope will continue for a long time.
So what’s happening in the October? Next week, we will be releasing a collection of one off halloween headpieces, perfect alternative or addition to any fancy dress outfit! We will also be releasing a new winter collection of hats for adults and children! Towards the end of the month, we will launch our new collection of accessories perfect for all the nights out over the Christmas period. More statement chokers, headbands and some amazing belts, all able to perfectly transform the most simple LBD into a show stopping outfit! Its all about the accessories!
So I guess tonight will remain a very rare night of calm as there is plenty for me to be getting on with! Thank you to everyone for all your ongoing support.
